Dear forum, _When I connect data from the model’s input fields “blog-article” with the input fields of a symbol it does not work. Hey, @valmal , I was able to use data binding with the symbol’s input field. Let me know if my understanding of the issue needs to be corrected. hi @sheema, appreciate for having a look further. I think my issue appears when I create a new content entry in the “blog-article” model. You created one in the model “Page” and it seems to be working there. ---

Hey @valmal, it looks like there’s an issue with the symbol [main layout](https://builder.io/content/55709c2c0c1f4517aff66d0408e7dfa3). I have added the blog details with and without the main layout symbol. It works fine without the main layout.
