Built-in components in Builder are registered through the same registry as your custom components and can be overridden by registering a component over the same name.

So for overriding the built-in [image component](https://github.com/BuilderIO/builder/blob/main/packages/react/src/blocks/Image.tsx), you’d want to register over the same name, and make sure your new component accept the same inputs as the built-in one

```auto
Builder.registerComomponent(YourImage, {
  name: 'Image', <- this
  …
})
```
