Hi everyone,

I’m just wondering if there is a way to link remote images (in the “Image” block on a site) instead of having to upload it. Is there a way already? If not, do you think this would be a good feature to add?

Hey Lena, thanks for reaching out! There are a variety of ways to bring images into Builder. Where do your remote images currently live?

Hi Kara, sorry for the late reply. We’re not 100% sure yet about where we want to store them, but probably either the Amazon, Google, or Vercel cloud. Ideally, there would be a way to reference an image from any publicly accessible URL.

Hey @lenapgl, sorry for the slow response! You can use remote images in Builder without needing to upload them. I’d recommend following the guide [here](https://forum.builder.io/t/how-do-i-link-an-image-block-to-an-external-image-without-uploading-it/404) that walks through those steps. It’s also worth mentioning we have a [plugin](https://github.com/builderio/builder/tree/master/plugins/cloudinary) with cloudinary or you can always drag and drop an “embed” block on to your page and add a url for an image/video that way too.

Let us know if you have any questions!
