API KEYS Permission

Hello

I am using the free plan of Builder.io and I am trying to manage my API Keys. I need to understand the specific permissions (e.g., Read, Write, Admin, Published vs. Unpublished access) associated with my Private Keys.

However, in my interface, when I go to the “Private Keys” section, I only see two columns: “Name” and “Key”. I cannot find any list or dropdown that shows the permissions for these keys.

Could you please guide me on where to find or how to set the permissions for my Private API Keys? Is it possible that the ability to view/set permissions for Private Keys is not available on the free plan?

Hello @PaulineTso,

Currently, Private API Keys in Builder.io do not support configurable permissions (such as Read, Write, Admin, or restricting Published vs. Unpublished access). Regardless of plan level (Free or Paid), private keys are always full-access keys and should only be used in secure server-side environments.

The interface will therefore only show the Name and Key columns, without any options for adjusting permissions.
