Is there a way to use Visual Editing on a URL that requires Basic Auth to access?

Our customers would like to work on content in a Builder Environment that points a non-publicly accessible site/url. Once that content is visually edited and ready they would like to publish it to Production, which is publicly accessible.

To do this, we can secure the preview site behind Basic Auth. However, how will the builder.io visual editor access a preview url that is protected with basic auth? How will it pass the username and password along with the preview url to us?

Thanks
Salman
