Push code not updating github repo

Newbie here. I built a site inside the devoleper and integrated with github repo. It pushed the inital commit. I did some update on the code and when i press ‘push code’ available on the top right corner, it is not pushing the latest code to github repo. Let me know if any one has any idea why it is not pushing to github repo.?

I think, same thing happened to me, but with consequences:
I just started using builder.io some days ago.

  • created project
  • created repo (on github) from within project (Init commit pushed just fine)
  • did a lot of work on project (and burned a LOTof tokens)
  • pushed regularly (without checking if it actually reached my repo :frowning: :-1: )
  • now this morning project fails to start while “Cloning workspace” because “Git repo is in bad state”.
  • no way to access all the work (as far as I know), because project does not start
If anybody has an advice or knows how I can at least save the work, I would be very thankful!

Exact same problem here! Any way of recovering would be much appreciated @moderators! (maybe someone like @ParthSharma could help? I saw you helping someone potentially similar in another thread - sorry for the @ if not!). Note that I’ve also submitted a support ticket, but have no response yet. The project I’m trying to access is Yatagarasu, Builder.io: Visual Development Platform.

Hi - I wanted to step in and confirm as part of our Beta Programme, a number of GitHub related issues have been fixed throughout June 2025 in particular, we have received reports of edge cases which we have also addressed overall.

We did experience an issue on 5th August, as reported on our Status Page, which was due to an issue GitHub was reporting on their end.

“Sometimes the platform only pushes changes if the repo is properly linked with write permissions. Double-check your GitHub integration settings, make sure your branch matches, and confirm you’re committing changes before pushing. If all looks fine, disconnect and reconnect the repo it often fixes sync issues.”
