Data Binding for symbols` input fields doesn't work

Dear forum,

When I connect data from the model’s input fields “blog-article” with the input fields of a symbol it does not work. Whereas connecting it to a random text field not within a symbol, it does work.

I want to use the data from my model blog-article and connect it to the input fields of my symbol

Hey, @valmal , I was able to use data binding with the symbol’s input field. Here is the loom for you to take a look at. Let me know if my understanding of the issue needs to be corrected.

I think my issue appears when I create a new content entry in the “blog-article” model.

You created one in the model “Page” and it seems to be working there.

I saw that it worked for you. I tried to reproduce but it didn’t work for me.

Hey @valmal, it looks like there’s an issue with the symbol main layout. I have added the blog details with and without the main layout symbol. It works fine without the main layout. Check out the test page Builder.io: Visual Development Platform
