How to Optimize a Builder.io Site for Performance While Embedding Power BI Content?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started working with I really like how visual and flexible it is. I’m currently building a dashboard page that includes embedded Power BI reports (from my Power BI Training project), but I’ve noticed some performance issues—especially with load times and interactivity.

I have gone through the website and found that this is really helpful for me to get solution of my queries but after registration I got a notification that left me disappointed as it shows my account is temporarily on hold. I don’t know what is the reason behind it but I didn’t make anything wrong that violate community guideline. As a professional, I respect community guideline and make useful contribution to help community members.

I’ve already tried lazy loading and reducing the number of elements on the page, but it’s still not as smooth as I’d like. I suspect the embedded Power BI content is playing a role in slowing things down.

Is there a recommended way to optimize pages that include iframes or embedded analytics tools like Power BI? Should I be looking into custom code within Builder or using external scripts more efficiently?

Any insights, tips, or best practices would be really appreciated. Especially if anyone has handled Power BI Training embedding before.

Recommended Optimization Techniques for Power BI Embeds

  1. Lazy Load the Iframe Only When Needed

    Instead of loading the Power BI iframe immediately, defer it until the user scrolls near it.

  2. Use IntersectionObserver for On-Demand Loading

  3. Offload to a Web Worker with Partytown

    Move Power BI-related third-party scripts off the main thread:

This keeps your main thread light and responsive.
