What are you trying to accomplish
I want to integrate Builder.io with Smartling.
I saw the inline locale solution, but my company is working with localization at scale and we want to take existing translations from our system within Smartling.
Is there some way to make it work?

There definitely is a solution we can find for your particular needs. First and foremost, I recommend you check out our docs on localization using customized targeting attributes
You would be able to associate the appropriate data to content within a page, section or symbol and then localize it based on visiting user attributes. If Smartling has an API to access your data as a JSON, it should be fairly straightforward to connect into Builder, and you should be good to go. If not, there may be other options to import your data into Builder or one of our many content partners to access directly on your page.
