Overlay text is not appearing on video but will appear on an image

Detailed steps to reproduce the bug
Go to editor place video, place box over video, place text inside the box. The text does not appear.

I am trying to overlay text onto a hero video. I have followed previous online tutorials ensuring I am placing both the box and text on the video and not below. For some reason the text does not appear as an overlay on the video. When I do the exact same steps with an image instead of a video, the text appears. What am I doing wrong? I have shared a screenrecording.

Hello @wes,

To resolve this issue, you can try adding CSS Properties z-index: 11; from the style tab to the text box layer.

Hi. You seemed knowledgeable and professional in this area. I have the same problem: 1) Overlaying text on one (or more) videos does not work. The text appears below. 2) When I copy (because I don’t know much about HTML, I’m learning at the moment) from the CodePen examples, my videos don’t have sound if I create them with superimposed text?
I don’t want to take up your time but if you could direct me to a suggestion it would be really appreciated. When you say “z-index: 11;” I don’t understand very well. THANKS
